Mine came today! Well...actually...yesterday, but I forgot to get the mail. I was horrified to see the B&N box sitting out on the road next to our mail box! I can't believe that no one swiped it! Especially since it said "Nook" on the side of it!

Sending prayers for those starting this study today!
Special prayers to Traci and family as they walk through this earthly loss of a precious Grandma!!!
Let us look to the resurrection power of CHRIST!
1 Corithians 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the POWER OF GOD!!!!

Question for day 2 please:
How do you keep the truth of scripture more readily available through out the day???
With the amazing technology of the I Toy (aka I Phone) -- we enjoy the daily audio Bible and listen to it during breakfast (there is one for kids/with children reading). Sometimes when doing laundry or just out and about listen to scripture or you tube sermons.
However, how do you stay connected to Jesus? (and for you mothers -- guide your children)
Have a blessed day!!!!
Isiah 55:11
So shall my word be that go foreth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The more the merrier!! :) Everyone is welcome to join in at any time. :)

So yes, I started my journey on Monday, as planned. I got up early before my mother in law services and tiptoed out of my room (hubby was sleeping still) to dig in. :) LOVING IT. :)

Catherine, I have a bible in my bedroom and office. First thing I do when I wake up is pray and get into my bible study (this one!) so my first thoughts of the day are of the Lord.

The Lord is alive. He is the guiding force of all decisions I make. I talk about Him all day long, with my kids as they process through the craziness of the teens in 2011, and I feel like I am in open communication with Him all day long.

Its a process. I've followed Jesus since I was 17 and I've learned to be more disciplined in my 30's and now 40's than I was when I was in my 20's and crazy busy with babies. Oh, I loved the Lord, and was a teacher to jr. highers, but my daily time in the Word was hit and miss due to being up in the night with babies and running a daycare in my home.

What does everyone else do? I'm curious. :)

PS When my teens are being overly angry or snappy, sometimes I'll pray over them, even as they rebel and just stand there staring like I'm insane. But you know what? It softens them and they'll typically say "thanks Mama" afterwards. :) Try it. Its never too late to make big changes!!! :)
