Getting Healthy, but staying Relevant :)

Here's what concerns me about leaders in health and wellness coming out in what can be perceived as elitest mentality as it pertains to food. A large percentage of our country spends their time in a fast food line, and "controversies" over Agave r Nectar vs Truvia vs HGCS doesnt even make sense to them. Its a foreign language!

If we want to help people reverse the trends of obesity and make healthy life changes, we need to remember that in order to make a lifestyle shift and reclaim your health, its mostly about BABY STEPS: getting rid of soda, moving their bodies 30 minutes a day 6 days a week, and eating foods that have far less ingredients that they dont know how to pronounce. THAT inspired ME to change because it was doable. Step one. Eat fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains and healthy fats. (tony horton quote) Step two. workout consistently. Step three. get accountable to someone.

My whole purpose is to help people GET HEALTHY; not get so caught up in fear of what to eat and what not to eat that we can become paralyzed with the lack of really pure, clean choices.
Balance. I'm a fan of it. :)
